GENERAL QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS ABOUT BLACK HAIR CARE
PART I

1. Recently I saw another company on the internet with your name UBH Publications, however there was a (-) dash in the name. Is this company affiliated with you?

NO they are not!!!! There are several scams out there. For instance www.ultrablackhairgrowth.com website is a scam. They steal the pictures off my website and put my name all over their site just to get you to visit theirs. Watch out for the many scams that will try to piggy back off my success.

If you are not on this website then you could be setting yourself to be scammed. This type of trickery has been going on for decades. UBH has one other website www.ultrablackhair.com Do not be mislead as they know we want hair and people who simply want our money are every where. Just as the Nigerian scam that is sweeping the internet now and taking many for thousands of dollars unscrupulously (some Nigarian scam artist will buy your plane tickets to Nigeria then kidnap and hold you for ransom) so are the scam artist who pretend they can help you with your hair. The one thing we do have now is information everywhere so you can make a conscious decision BEFORE you buy into yet another gimmick.

2. I just stumbled upon your website by accident, maybe this is the answer to my prayers. I have a questions, I hope you can help me with this: Every winter for the past several years, I have been having problems with SEVERE breakage and hair loss, sometimes to the point of baldness. What is it about "Winter weather" that would cause me to loss my hair.

Perhaps the reason you are having the problems are self-inflicted! You will be able to truly answer the question of whether or not you are actually causing the problems only after reading my book. I really dont believe it is the changing seasons!

3. Hi Cathy! Just wondering why a product that works so well as your products do are not available in stores?

Shelf space is the answer. Everybody is competing for shelf space. If you dont have big money like a Soft sheen, etc, you are basically waiting to be discovered. Sally's has asked us to do some some things which we have agreed to but that is still no indication that we will be on their shelves soon.
***Feb 2005 update - Sally's has not interest in our products but hairdressers are beginning to embrace the method and many of them are carrying the products!!!

4. My hair breaks the most when it is still wet and I comb it out. I use a wide toothed comb, but it is still always full of hair. I just got a relaxer about 2 weeks ago also. What do you think the problem is and what can I do to fix it?

Stop combing your hair when it is wet! I never combed my relaxed hair when it was wet! When relaxed hair is wet it is stretched to its longest length. When you pull a comb through wet relaxedhair, you tend to stretch it beyond the "tensile" length, which is a term that refers to maximum stress a hair shaft can withstand before breaking. This is a matter of physics. Hair will break when it is stretched beyond this length, especially if it no longer has the elasticity required for making it spring back once the comb has left the hair. When your hair is damaged, excessively dry, and in bad condition it is even more vulnerable to breakage. Using a wide tooth comb does not prevent the hair from stretching. Wash your hair in the shower so that your hair lies down naturally. Avoid piling the hair up on your head like we used to when washing our hair in the basin. As my book instructs, the shower is the best place to wash your hair because the upright position helps you avoid tangles that need to be combed out while wet. If you have chemically processed hair it is very fragile, avoid combing relaxed while it is wet!

5. I don't have a problem with growing my hair but I have to consistently trim my hair every 2-3 month, the issue i have is that i have naturally curly hair and it's really dry, will your program help with the conditioning of the hair? Is your book sold in canada?

80% of the africian american population has dry hair. My products actually improve a dry hair condition. Yes my book and products are sold in Canada. (see FAQ button top of page - then click question 3 "who carries your products) scroll down the list for vendors in Canada.

6. While I have you online, so to speak, I have very short fine thin hair. You've seen my type. You can see my scalp no matter what. For years I just wore an afro as that was the only style I could wear. You say to use the moisturizer only twice a day but with my baby fine, thin, hair. I need more. I need to use moisturizers 3/4/5 times or more a day. I can put moisturizer on my hair, and within an 45 minutes to an hour, my hair is bone dry. It has grown a little bit but I wanted a spray moisturizer as I felt it would be easier than dealing with all of the creme moisturizers. Is all of your research based on your hair alone?

My research is based on Hair. All hair is composed of the same things in that the chemical composition is the same. It is the characteristics of hair that are different. (thin, color, texture, dry etc) Using my conditioner can thicken your hair increasing the volume and the UBH creme will soften the hair and not weigh it down. Dew is also very good but most of our customers like our lotion creme.

7. First of all I would like to say thank you for the advice to use Aphogee for shedding hair. I have no shedding. Also thanks for the tip to stop combing my wet hair. I read your news letter and follow your drying procedures. But the problem that I have and always have had is an itchy scalp. I have no dandruff. My head constantly itches even after I wash. I tried to use a shampoo(Kera Kare) for dry itchy scalp, it made my hair hard as a rock. Do you have any suggestion or know of a good shampoo? Right now I use Elasta QP ph 4.5-5.5 or TCB it's for dry or chemical treated hair.

Do you have braids in your hair and do you wash your hair every three days or, are you close to a retouch? These things can all cause the scalp to itch. Also it could be one if your hair products. Try a clarifying shampoo or a dandruff shampoo even though you dont see dandruff as you may have a buildup of something on your scalp. You may also want to change your shampoo to Aubrey Organics. It does not contain ingredients that most shampoos contain that are known to irritate the skin.

8. I was one of the attendees at the Expo for Today's Black Woman. I purchased your book, conditioner and moisturizer. I do however have a question that I hope you can answer. Are there any conditions which can prevent hair from growing?

When the hair stops growing, you go bald. As far as conditions that can prevent hair from growing, I am sure there are many from forced trauma to burns. Those are not things or issues I focus on.

9. If one has suffered chemically induced baldness, how can one know if the hair cells inside the scalp are no dead? And if they are not dead, will this method which you've prescribed work?

If the hair has been gone in a particular spot or all over the head for upwards of a year and no hair is present - then you can assume the hair cells are dead. If the baldness was caused by radiation treatments (as we know even the good cells are attacked with that therapy) then these products can assist your hair care and growth efforts. Yes if they are not dead this can help you.

10. In your book you have said, "Most people don't know what their hair feels like when it's healthy", and you're right, I don't. How would I know it was healthy? I don't know how dumb this question is but in one of our last conversation, I told you how mislead I was by hairdresser and some best friends that were hairdressers. So if you can help me with my questions (some of them dumb) that would be very appreciative.

Your hair will feel smooth and have a natural shine several days after washing

11. I ordered your products last week, and also purchased your book. I am so eager to get started on growing my hair long; and stopping the breakage. Here is my question: I understand that our hair will grow for several years, then take a rest. But how long does that last? A year? 6 months? Thanks for your book, products, and your intelligence.

Your hair life cycle depends on the individual. Scientist say the average growth rate is between 2 and 6 years. Mine is between 2-3 years. Your life cycle maybe longer or shorter. My hair grows about 1/2 an inch per month and the longest pieces (as of 6-8-03) are over 16 inches in the top. So yours may vary.

12. I am 27 years old and have prematuring grey hair so i have to dye as well as relax it. How will this effect my hair in the long run? i live in canada and where i live is very dry, Can you give my some tips on what would be most effective to keeping my hair moistured until i can get your product?

Greying hair can safely accept color on relaxed hair if the color does not contain peroxide or ammonia. That means you can not lighten the hair only darken it. Moisturizing is not the problem when you color relaxed hair, it is the structure of the hair that is weakened when you double process (chemically relax and strip color and reapply color, as in the case of hair dye that lightens) I too am greying and use Bigen Black Brown and Oriental Black (sally beauty supply)

13. I had long hair during my teenage years, I am 23 now and I do not know why I cannot grow my hair back. At the moment my hair is constantly shedding and it is very dry. I am very much interested in using your product hoping that it would make a difference in my hair. I hope that it grows properly.

Keva, if you had it once, you can have it again! I have never had long hair in my life and I have kept my new found locks due to my challenging traditional industry methods. You have taken the first step by purchasing the book. It is the truth about our hair and will tell you how to achieve your hair again.

14. Are you aware of any particular brand or make of hair comb that IS NOT made from a mold that leaves "seams" in the teeth, subsequently pulling, tearing or ripping out our hair? I just happened to run across BlackwomenRejoice website yesterday after having engaged in a healthy debate with a co-worker regarding black hair care and the difference in care that it inherently requires. When I clicked on her link, I got tossed into A MESS of a screen. It was actually one of many areas of Brenda's website that anyone can get into, but girl it was just a MESS!!!! Words strewn clear across the screen; no apparent order to ANYTHING! I did finally get to her home page, which was a sight better, but the stuff she talks about (or DOESN'T talk about).... I just don't know, Cathy. I JUST DON'T KNOW!!!!!

This other sister, Carolyn Gray, has a much more eye-appealing website. However, if aesthetics is all someone is interested in, I guess folks will buy into her theories and/or philosophies, too! When I read something about "oiling the scalp", I gasped, and left her website! Of course, I did take note that she was sponsoring some sort of Hair Care Clinic/Cruise. (MY PEOPLE, MY PEOPLE, MY PEOPLE!!!!) I'm not getting caught up in that stuff. While I do realize that it is important to watch what you use in your hair, I'm not foolish enough to think that a comb ALONE will be the ruination one's progress with hair growth! Besides, she makes what she has to say sound so freakin' mysterious.... Not kosher AT ALL!

On the comb, no I don't know of a comb that you are speaking however, I must ask you not to become involved in that hype as it is not founded on truth or fact!!!! As far as Carol Grays book, go to Amazon.com and type in black hair growth in the search box, click the link to go to my book. (Carols book is ranked 70,619) Scroll down until you get past the "stars" and you will see my number 11,312 at the time of this writing) which is Amazons ranking in their database based on sales. My book consistently stays above 10,000 in Amazons 3,000,000 book database. No other black book on black hair sells as well as mine. They try but they cant touch the truth!

15. I've just recently purchased your products. I'm very excited about getting started. Like most black woman, I've always dreamed of having long flowing hair. What should I do before I go to bed? Does wrapping your hair at night help with dryness? I wet my hair and pull it into a ponytail daily with a cloth band does that damage it?

Cathleen, it is recommend you read the book because you need to first understand why we have short hair problems before you can correct them. Although my products actually improve our hair, just dumping them on your hair without changing how you care for your hair is not going to help you. I often wear a bonnet instead of a wrap as it does not flatten my hair. When I want it flattened, I wrap and tie with a scarf. Wrapping/covering the hair at night has nothing to do with drying, it has to do with the hair matting and tangling. No, the ponytail is not damaging but how you get it there could be if you brush it. Please read the book to understand what the requirements are.

16. First I want to thank you for all of the time and effort you have put into your book, conditioner, and Dew. My question is this: since it's winter right now, what kind of hair style should I wear to protect my ends?

Do not concern yourself with the changing seasons, nor "protecting" your ends during changes of seasons. If you care for your hair appropriately there is no need to focus entirely on protecting the ends from the elements. Even though they are the oldest hair, your weekly treatments if done religously will keep them in relatively good condition. As far as a style, (when I relaxed my hair) I did not encourage nor recommend french rolls, buns or any of those styles because I learned from personal experience that when the ends are tucked against the other hair, the other hair takes all the moisture from the ends making them crisp (other clients have experienced the same).

17. I'm worried that my ends are going to break off. I don't blow dry my hair, I always air dry, I deep condition once a week. I use Motions as a lotion moisturizer and Dew afterwards or just Dew. How should I keep my hair so that I can keep my ends safe, but not have a horrible hair style since I'm going to college at Robert Morris University, PA.

If you are getting a lot of broken ends when you comb your hair there could be a number of reasons that is happening. Your deep conditioner may not be improving your hair. The Motions will help somewhat when you moisturize but because it contains protein, repeated use between washing will make you have hard hair which is what you dont want. Motions also contains mineral oil which is a bad ingredient for our hair that locks moisture out! Sorry cant help you with a style.

18. I am a 23 yr old black female. I found your book 2 years ago when I was researching about how to grow black hair. I have to say I am very proud of you and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge to enlighten others. At the time that I read your book, I wanted to write and ask how come there isn't more publicity for your product and how come I didn't hear of it before! I thought Oprah should give it a try and then Cathy could get on Oprah and talk about her book! Every black woman should have a copy in my opinion. It is an excellent reference. It's so rare to find things that work. (I was surprised because there is too much hair growth material out there that is bogus.) But reading your book, it just made so much sense to me, it was direct, my hair grows longer, fuller, is healthier. People ask me if I am Indian or Puerto Rican or something because they are not used to seeing this much length and soft hair in a black woman. I was surprised to see that you knew things about hair that even hairdressers didn't. Also, I was very irritated that they kept trimming my hair for no good reason..even when I say no. I don't even go anymore I just do it at home. I have very thick hair but it still takes me about an hour to half an hour less doing my own hair your way than having hairdresser do it. Also it doesn't cost an arm and a leg i'm a student after all and on a budget. I never knew it was possible to have nice hair and to do it all at home. I recommend you to everyone I see because I want all black women to have long hair. Once again thank you for being an inspiration and for educating us. Keep up the good work and god bless you.

Thank you Abby, for your excellent testimonial. When I update the website, yours will be among my cyberwall of successes! I want so badly to be on Oprah, yet I am told that this is not a subject that would interest an Oprah audience (they are mostly white). You would think that they would understand that hair is hair and the principles will work for everyone. I am a small guy that had an idea with potential to change the world. After being on the market for 15 years, people try to copy my method but they dont know what I have done. As a marketing major, I hid certain things in the entire system so it could not be duplicated. I know I have the truth and everyday it is made manifest. I now travel around the country letting sisters know we have hope. My plan is to continue spreading the word until every black woman out there knows proper hair care. Or, everyone who wants to know.

19. Hey Cathy! I have questions about your process and everything. I know that you do not enforce heat to your hair, but I press my hair. I'm sure this is probably not healthy (even if I do have REALLY thick hair) but will my hair still grow if I still do your methods of washing, conditioning, and moisturizing (twice a week) along with the pressing??

The requirements for pressed hair are the same as chemically processed hair so you will need to press more often which I dont recommend. Opt for a twist style. You can only go up to 1 week before you will need to rewash again. Yes your hair will still grow (it always is) my products and methods will simply improve the hair to keep it on your head.

20. Who is Wanakee? Everytime I type in wanakee.com, I get Beverly Johnson’s (the model) website. Is Beverly Johnson, wanakee?

See my answer below.

Go Back

21. I went to Wanakee's website (when it was Wanakee's webite) and I saw that she contradicts you in a lot of ways. She claims that you must trim your hair and wear your hair in "protective styles" in order to achieve hair growth. I already know your view about this, but aren't you more experienced than her? I mean, you DID research and everything, so where is Wanakee getting her information from?

Wanakee is a beautiful black model with waist length hair (which looks to be type 3 instead of type 4) that for many years was used as a celebrity model to sell products created by a company called HairOil.com (the website was then under Wanakee.com). The products even carried her name making people believe they were products she created and used and they helped her get her long beautiful hair. Sisters bought it thinking she had some majic in the products to make her hair grow like that. (a marketing ploy used since before Madame CJ Walkers times) A small pamphlet was put together that was given away free that said trimming was necessary for the hair to grow! Obviously she was not knowledgeable about hair to suggest that trimming has anything to do with hair growth. Beverly Johnson is currently HairOil.coms celebrity and according to a page on their website, they have cut ties with her now and are removing her name from the products. It was quite humorous to use Beverly Johnson because everybody knows Beverly Johnson wears wigs! Now sisters are mad because they thought Wanakee used these products! People know we want hair and they will sell you what you will buy. Wanakee did NO research nor product development. She was just another celebrity model that was used to market a product based on her looks and celebrity status and people bought into.

22. I HAVEN'T READ YOUR BOOK YET, BUT I PLAN TO BUY IT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THE INFORMATION THAT I HAVE READ ON YOUR SITE DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT" DRY AND ITCHY SCALP." THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR ME FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS. SO MUCH OF A PROBLEM THAT HAIR AT THE 'CROWN OF MY HEAD' HAS STARTED TO GET THIN. NOT TO MENTION THAT IT SHEDS AT LEAST ONCE PER YEAR IN THAT "SAME AREA".

THE AREA THAT SHEDS RANGES FROM THE SIZE OF A DIME TO THE SIZE OF A BASEBALL. IT IS SOOOOO BAD THAT I JUST GAVE UP ON EVER HAVING Before it would fall out, but it would always grow back thick. Not anymore. for the last few years IT HAS GOTTEN THINNER AND THINNER. THE BIOPSY THAT I HAD A FEW WEEKS AGO DIDN'T REVEAL ANY PROBLEMS. MY DOCTOR SAID THAT MY SCALP IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY. HE IS CERTAIN THAT MY HAIR KEEPS SHEDDING AND GETTING THINNER IN THAT AREA BECAUSE OF ALL THE SCRATCHING I DO. HE SAID THAT BECAUSE I SCRATCH UNTIL MY SCALP IS SORE AND SWOLLEN, THE HAIR FOLLICLES EXPERIENCE SOME TRAUMA. HE EVEN SAID THAT IF HE COULD HANDCUFF ME FOR TWO MONTHS THAT MY HAIR WOULD GROW BACK. HE PRESCRIBED SOMETHING TO TREAT MY ITCHY SCALP. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO ????

Your dermatologist is correct. I believe it is something in the products you are using that is causing you to itch. Oil applied to the scalp is also a culprit as well as only washing the hair 2X per MONTH. These are all problems and you could be causing the majority of them. Get my book. It will open your eyes

23. I just ordered your book and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I've been browsing your website and I'm very excited. I just have one question for you. You mentioned several times not to use a curling iron on your hair every day. I'm a professional woman and have unfortunately gotten into this nasty habit. I'm at a loss for how to style my hair and maintain my professional look without using the curling iron. I don't have really long hair. Do you have any suggestions? Also have you ever heard of a spray or a gel that is supposed to give your relaxed hair a wavy look? I've though about trying that.

Rhonda, styles are personal. My focus is on hair care before and after the style. Try getting rid of the curling or using it no more than twice a week. Right after you wash your hair only which is 2X per week. Wear a bonnet to bed and moisturize after you comb your hair the next day. The curls will be looser but it is much better for your hair than everyday heat. I have heard of products that are supposed to make the hair have a scrunchy curl. I have never tried them. Cant really tell you if it is for you.

24. I'm having a problem with the front of my hair. It always seems to be a lot shorter than the rest of it. I have been moisturizing my hair everyday and deep conditioning every three days to one week with protein, using heat, just as you stated in the book. I also stopped using the blow dryers. I have also been air drying. I don't know why this is happening. My hair has been like this for years. I always see the regrowth at the roots, but it never seems to show any apparent length. The only time the front of my hair gets longer, is when I wear braid extensions, but then it starts to break off again once the braids are removed. People always assume that I have cut it at the front on purpose, but I haven't. Also what moisturizer do you currently use after having protein treatments? and how often should the ubh conditioner be used?

Sophia, if you are seeing new growth and no length, your hair is breaking. Why? I suspect your products are inadequate or the hair tools you are using are causing your problems. If the hair is "growing" in braids, it is growing without them also. UBH conditioner should be used at least weekly and my lotion creme is the only moisturizer I use daily and after a protein treatment because it does not contain protein or mineral oil.

25. I have been trying to get my hair to grow for a long time, I used to get perms once every four weeks and my hair had been very thin and brittle. So, I decided to try and go natural by flat ironing my hair and styling it in a French roll. Need less to say, that didn't work b/c I have very thick coarse hair.

French rolls, when the ends are tucked close to the hair, pulls the oil from the ends making them become dry and crisp. If your hair is relaxed, It is a style I do not recommend.

26. What is ceramide?

According to Ruth Winter Cosmetic Ingredients consumer dictionary it is synthetic alcohol

27. I read in one of your responses (under Cathy's Black Hair Care tips part II Question 46) that dome dryers are okay to dry hair, but you said not the bonnet dryers. Why not?

Bonnet dryers contain a hose that air blows through mostly around the back of the head. Although the flimsy cap has holes, the heat rarely gets to the top and sides effectively so you will need to turn the hose periodically to have the heat on all sides to really benefit.

Go Back

28. How do you feel about wraping hair in order to dry it and using mousse's before wrapping?

How you dry your hair is a person preference. Using mousse is a No-No since it contains alcohol. And you surely dont want to heat a drying agent on your already dry hair.

29. I have been looking through the website and found that the information on it was very helpful. I just ordered Cathy's book and products and pray that they will work for me. I have never had long hair and I am 27 years old, the longest my hair has been is right at my neck, not even shoulder length is it possible for my hair to grow longer and healthier? I have thin hair and it is currently natural and I get it pressed, since I have been doing that, it seems to grow a bit better, but not to the length I want it. I would like for my hair to be to the mid of my back, is that a realistic goal?

There were 3 problems I found that cause our hair growth problems: 1) our information is inadequate and in accurate, 2) our products are garbage (they provide not real benefit) and 3) the industry works against us. (The top of the hair care industry is controlled by whites, men, Indians and Asians. They make our products yet they dont use them. And everybody wants to make us something because they realize we spend 3-4X more on our hair than any race of people- so therefore we have junk products because people want to make money off us, but dont really know our hair.) We are no different than any other race of people in that: God did not say that only white people, Indians, and Asians can have long hair and not black people. You just need to understand why we have short hair problems and how to correct them. My book defines this.

30. Are there other people whom you know of who could never grow their hair, who have been successful at it with your products?

31. I would like to start off by saying, hello! My name is Lathea I'm 25 years old. All my life my hair has never been longer than maybe give or take 4 inches. My mother, father, sister, all my family etc... HAVE LONG HAIR!!! But not ME. I get so depressed sometimes, I just think that it's unfair. I would'nt wish this on my worst enemy. Not only is it extremely short it's also very very thin. I don't know what to do. I'm tired of people asking me (why does long hair run in your family but you don't have it!) I know it's in my genetics because it runs on both sides of my family. I don't mean to tell you my whole life story or be a cry baby but simply put (I WANT LONG HAIR TOO!!!) Please give me a response on this issue. Thank you and GOD BLESS

First you need to understand why we have short hair problems before you can correct them. You could be causing your own problems. Do you have a relaxer? Do you brush your hair? Are you on any medications? I help you identify why we have short hair and give you practical knowledge on how to keep your hair on your head if you have dry hair that breaks. If these are your problems, I recommend you read my book. It is a great start to understanding your hair and its problems.

32. I have an extreme problem. My hair grows fast but I also always have split ends. So, it's like I never acheive any length to my hair. I notice that in your book, you say that you never have your hair trimmed. How do you manage to keep all the split ends away? How can I keep split ends away? I just don't know what to do!!!

Linda, split ends are caused from things we do, like too much heat, sponge rollers, hair brushes and not deep conditioning with products that improve the dry hair condition. Hair does not only split on the ends, it can split anywhere along the hair shaft, mostly caused by abusive techniques like hair brushes and exteme heat too often. To stop splitting hair whether on the ends or the hair shaft, stop doing the damaging things to your hair that causes them!

33. Hello, I purchased both conditioners some months ago, but I just recently got a hold of the book, just two questions, you mentioned no hair dryer, you did provide assistance to those of us who must still blow dry, however I have considered not using mine. What do I do with the hair after the Dew is added, since I can't brush it I cannot Wrap my hair. Is it ok to use one of those paddle brushes to Wrap my hair as long as it doesn't snag? The hair doesn't get as straight with air-drying... please provide direction. Also another thing, I have a 6 year old daughter with virgin hair. You said relaxers are good to go.. what about in her hair? With a kiddie relaxer maybe, what do you think? I've been getting excellent results with your products by the way.

It IS okay to use a brush to wrap the hair. Just dont use it to maintain the hair. Putting the hair up in a style with a brush is okay if you dont yank and pull the hair through it. Also I do not recommend relaxing a childs hair until they are in their teens. Continued success to you.

34. My name is Theodosia and I am 30 years old. After giving birth to my daughter 5 years ago, I began to lose my hair. Currently I have lost all my hair in the middle of my head. Please, I need your advice on what I should do.

Your hair lose may be from something you are doing. Get a copy of my book and identify how to eliminate the dryness. Other issues may be identified in the book.

35. I haven’t read your entire book, but you mentioned the types of hair (i.e. type 3 and 4). Is this information in your book?

No it is not in my book. In my summary pages I tell you to read Andre Walkers book to get this information.

36. I have been on your system for years. Last year I learned how to swim and it is becoming a sport and relaxation technique that I thouroughly love. After I began swimming, my hair dresser noticed my hair was becoming dryer and convinced me to start all over (After reading your book I have changed hair dressers since). Is there a way I can keep the moisture in my hair and swim too!

I would use a clarifing shampoo to remove the chlorine (if you swim every day, once a week is fine to clarify) and since you only swim on days you wash your hair, deep condition after you swim.

38. How do you achieve your look that I see on the website?

My hair does not look like that all the time. Only for pictures and appearances as I want to show the length. Depending on which pictures you are looking at, when I did my hair myself, it was blown dry or dried with the dome type dryer then I used the curling ironor flat iron to straightening as I discuss in the book to make my hair straighter and smoother. I dont do that everyday because I KNOW it would result in NO hair.

39. Thank you. I haven't even read your book, but with all the information I have been gathering on your website I AM ALREADY OBSERVING dramatic improvement in the health of my hair. So bouncy, shiny and growing beautifully. Keep up the excellent work, also I appreciate your accessibility! u are one of the few who don't sell a product and leave consumers stranded to make their own way? perhaps u should start charging a small annual fee for your consultancy service :)

Even though I have been doing this for many years there are some who have just started the program and require a little hand holding. I want my users to be successful and until we become more educated and others can offer the knowledge, I feel it necessary to assist my customers with the right information to get them on track and keep them on track. I dont mind answering emails as I can do that when it is convenient for me. There are those who call my 800 number and I am not happy about that as it is an order line and it uses resources that are not devoted to long winded callers. Nor do I feel I can be personal hair consultant to everyone. Charging a fee for answering a questions makes me like all the other greedy folks out there. I dont mind answering emails when I can do it in my own time and the questions are sincere.
